According to the World Health Organization (WHO), a suitable diet may increase efficiency at work by up to 20%. Scientific studies show that, unfortunately, the majority of people have bad eating habits at work, which has a negative impact on our effectiveness at performing our duties at work.
Dieticians indicate a few simple rules to follow:
at work drink still mineral or spring water as often as possible, instead of sweetened drinks or those containing caffiene,
have regular meals – long hours at work without proper food stimulates the habit of eating anything on impulse,
always have a healthy snack with us, e.g. fruit, nuts, yoghurt – this will help us to avoid eating unhealthy, high-calorie products like chocolate bars, crisps or other sweets.
We should often eat fruit and wholegrain bread and avoid products with a high content of fat like doughnuts or cream cakes.
